Doulas need to have a ritual or routine that they do before and after client support, especially birth support and especially when that birth support was long or traumatic. It doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s but it is vital to have!

Managing being on-call constantly can be a challenge. First, Doulas do not operate the same way! Today’s episode dives into staying after a birth, what that looks like and how long it usually is. As a doula, I know, especially if you're new, it can feel very vulnerable to not know everything, but I wanna just reassure you that none of us know everything. This is a line of work where we are constantly learning, and it is not something where we all know everything that there is to know or anybody knows.

It is vital to do regular evaluation of your Doula Business. Do yearly planning, quarterly planning and quarterly and yearly evaluations. That is what today’s episode is all about!
