Doula Consultations can make or break your doula business. They are literally the first impression for how clients feel about having you on their team! This episode goes into how I structure those and how you can set yourself up for success!

One of the things that I preach is Doulas charging a price that feels good and is sustainable. And so that's a bit about what you're gonna get in today's episode. Charging a price that allows you to show up authentically with your clients is vital to Doula work!

Rituals matter in this work. It matters for you to have some set ways to start and end your day with a client. It matters how you set yourself up for joining a client. This episode goes into what I do before heading to a birth to give you some ideas of what you may find helpful!

What is a doula and why should you have one? Like why does it matter for pregnant families to have you? Now, if you're a doula and you're like, obviously I know what we are and why we should be used, I still want you to listen to this because it is honestly a wealth of knowledge of how you can explain your work to people and how you can explain the benefit of having you at your birth

It is absolutely possible to be a doula and also work a part time or full time job elsewhere. In fact, I know many doulas who do that. In the coming weeks we’ll discuss various additional services a doula can have in their business in addition to serving clients as a doula. Those services often are less on-call and therefore easier to do when you have additional employment.

After you evaluate your business progress to date you need to then look ahead at the next part of this year! Your doula work and doula business can thrive only when you are planning and taking steps that are specific and strategic!

It is vital to do regular evaluation of your Doula Business. Do yearly planning, quarterly planning and quarterly and yearly evaluations. That is what today’s episode is all about!
